What a difference a year makes
|
I have been gone from Serene Center for almost a year now, after being there for a year. I did things differently this time and actually followed recommendations to stay in sober living for a year. I can tell you that staying in a high quality sober living
like Serene Center made all the difference in my recovery, my relationships, my career, and my view of myself. I am still clean and sober because of what I learned about myself in sober living. I now have a fiancée, I have a great relationship with my parents
and brother, I have a career job and am able to save money, and amazingly I actually feel good about myself. I think back and wonder why I never followed through before, but it really is no wonder because I never allowed myself to get well. Serene Center gave
me a place to do that and they gave me support when I needed it too. On several occasions I was close to going out, but the environment as Serene Center gave me strength to hold on to my sobriety. I have tremendous gratitude for the owner Andrew who really
built something special in Serene Center. The best sober living in Long Beach.
