I just received a call on my cell-phone from a toll free # (800)726-9594. Which sounded legit in the first few minutes, but then started getting angry as I asked more specific questions about this "opportunity". When he told me there was a $29 fee to receive the information, I realized this was a SCAM!!!! He already had my email information and said he would send an informational email, but he also wanted a credit card number IMMEDIATELY over the phone...thank goodness I did not give it to him!!
I am on a job search and any attention from a prospective employer feels great. I can see how an unwitting applicant can get caught in this web of deceit. So sad because not only is it a rip-off, it creates false hope for people who are out of work.
I recommend doing it the old-fashioned way: personal connections.
