I had a terrible experience at Bettina Duncan fine jewelry. I found them (Bettina and her husband/co-owner Daniel) to be deceitful, petty, and dishonest. Their website advertised merchandise at one price yet in the store it was almost 3 times the price! I notified 3 different employees (Kevin in November, Maya a manager in November and Charlotte last week) one as long as 3 months ago about the discrepancy, and they said they website was just old. Really? Maya the manager said she would speak to the owners about honoring the price. I never heard back from her. I called her a month later. She said they must have been too busy to get back to me. At the time that exact ring wasn't in the store, however last week it was, at just under 3 times the price. However it was on 50% sale. When I asked the clerk to inquire as to whether they would honor the online price (since they had 3 months notice about the website) Daniel merely said, "no." Bettina not only declined, she took the ring out of the store so it couldn't be purchased on sale ($1,630) and told the clerk if I wanted it I would have to pay full price.
At all times it has shown available to purchase online however the transaction never goes through.
Apparently in this state that is called bait and switch. Online price $1,190. In store $3,260. Why would anyone give them business? Not nice people.
