I purchased their "System Mechanic" program from Sam's Club. Who wouldn't with all the positive claims and testimonials covering the box. I installed it successfully, ran the software, and my 2008 HP Pavilion froze..No response from task manager, and after 30 minutes had to reboot. Error message and corrupted system recovery. The "System Mechanic" is clearly a misnomer and I would suggest a change to "System Salvageyard" since my PC is now worth the value of the raw materials from which it's made. With all the bold claims and prideful declarations on the box, you'd think this company would really want to understand the problem their product caused. After all, they claim to be "Winner of over 100 editor's choice awards" and "America's #1 PC tune-up software". Bottom line...they don't care about their reputation, products, or their customers. They hide behind a end user license agreement (EULA) that frees them from any responsibility or liability for the performance of their product, and have no complaint resolution process or anything resembling customer service. They offer a "30 day money-back guarantee" that requires you jump through several hoops, mail the product back (at your expense) in saleable condition(?), and then they will refund minus your taxes and a restocking fee. Nice guarantee. Will avoid all "Iolo Technologies" products in the future. If studied, they could be a great example to other tech companies on how not to do business.
